Who we are

Virginia Diner, founded in 1929 in Wakefield, Virginia, is both a classic roadside restaurant and a nationally recognized gourmet peanut company. The diner serves Southern comfort food such as fried chicken, country ham biscuits and homemade pies, and it attracts travelers visiting nearby peanut farms. Beginning in the 1950s, Virginia Diner started roasting and packaging local peanuts and has since expanded the product line to include salted Virginia peanuts, honey-roasted and chocolate-covered peanuts, peanut brittle, snack mixes and gift tins. The nuts are processed in small batches to preserve flavor and are sold online, through catalogs and in specialty stores nationwide. Virginia Diner remains a family-owned business that supports the community and celebrates the heritage of Virginia's peanut region.
